Sprint and Verizon (Wireless), Naperville, ILJan 2014-Mar 2016

First Office Application (FOA) Engineer

Performed new software release testing/upgrades to Sprint and Verizon commercial sites and monitoring the sites after each upgrade. Creation/utilization of MOPs/SOPs and software upgrade packages. Follow up weekly status meetings to provide site reports among Alcatel-Lucent and customer teams.

Implementing network modifications and system testing including new features/functionalities.

·               Proactively and aggressively evaluated Sprint and Verizon network issues, improving network reliability.

·               Communicated system status and quality with customer as related to key technical issues on weekly customer call which improved the overall customer satisfaction.

·               Designed & Implemented WAN/LAN connectivity using Cisco routers and switches for various Inter-Offices connectivity as per customer requirements.

LTE and Small Cell, Naperville, ILJan 2013-Dec 2013

Wireless Engineer

Supported 3G/4G wireless functionalities on LTE and Small Cell projects. Executed system functionality validation on LTE core network including end to end LTE network components software upgrades, integration, testing and performance analysis.

·               Performed with LEOM on LTE CORE configuration upgrade including MME software upgrade, eNodeB discovery and eNodeB software upgrade / integration using 5620 SAM. This joint partnership helped to speed up the lab activities and meeting the target date.

·               Completed end-to-end validation of the functionality of the LTE core network, including the ePC, IMS, OA&M, eNodeB, and Transport as a part of network validation testing. SIP call flow/traces/debugging and WireShark captures for VoLTE.

·               Performed VoLTE testing along with Circuit Switch Fall Back (CSFB) feature for Verizon. Using QXDM collection, analysis/debugging the log files. Verified Log View configuration, Diagnostic logs and Items Stored Files (ISF). This helped to improve the quality of VoLTE functionality by identifying and resolving the issues.

·               Executed T-Mobile small cell solution (3G FAP) during the friendly user trial (FUT), while understanding the basic small cell architecture with ALU small cells (FAPs), security gateway (SeGW), small cell gateway / femto gateway (ScGW) and OAM interfaces, WMS, HDM, NPO, SAM and AAA. This was a special assignment project where T-Mobile customer was launching FUT testing and critical support was asked by the customer.

·               Performed KPIs analysis, processed Femto/Femto PM Files on daily basis from WMS using NPO tool/Excel Macro and creating KPIs reports / Dashboard.

 

CTC China/India Reliance (Wireless), Naperville, ILOct 1996-Dec 2012

Customer Technical Support Engineer

Provided remote and on-site customer technical support for CTC China, Reliance India and NTT Japan projects. Built new customer wireless network (installation/integration/provision and testing end to end network components) and resolved technical issues working with customer.

·               Partnered with Technical Leads and Test Engineers, supporting integration and verification of CDMA elements and technology for CTC customer in China.

·               Utilized CDMA diagnostic monitor tools including CATSCAN, TCPDUMP, and Wireshark assisting troubleshooting activities and different call loads for automation testing.

·               Debugged issues using CDMA system ROP and LOG by asserts, audits, measurements, errors on different system elements of CDMA.

 

·               Performed SIP Provisioning on MMSI (using XML scripts), SIP Inter-MSCs testing (CW, CF, 3W conference, SIP call flow/traces review), and SIP debugging (wireshark) in the lab for CTC.

 

·               Executed and developed work flows and processes in all aspects of customer site testing and lab testing by interpreting technical requirements, test plans, test execution and analysis of technical issues for development and in-country service and customer organizations.

·               Created technical documents such as First Office Application (FOA) software validation and software verification test strategy to document scenarios, validating new feature and functionality in the customer network for successful deployment and MOPs/SOPs.
